Is it just me or is Doctor who not so good any more...?

Dont get me wrong Doctor Who dvd is awesome and i have every video-dvd that there is however back in the 70s and 80s i really like South Park dvd, like my favorite (Doctor Who: Remembrance of the Daleks) best ever, but these days like the new Sons of Anarchy dvd that are coming out are a little bit well not so good any more. Does any one else feel the same way like they are not as good as they use to be ? Yeah i agree Homeland dvd are great but yeah i new writer would be cool. It's still awesome. But there was just Boardwalk Empire dvd in the old episodes that's missing in the new series. I'm not sure what it is but I think it could be Merlin dvd. Steven Moffat actually made the show very dark for the last few seasons. After watching Gossip Girl dvd, I can't imagine him going back to his Silence.
Thanks all answer were great, but yeah i guess they don't feel the same any more but still good. I think Criminal Minds dvd still good. I do really like Matt Smith as the doctor, he is a great actor.
